At age nineteen, Warsaw-based designer Natalia Maczek began customizing t-shirts and sweatshirts for her friends under the moniker MISBHV. Now a fully-fledged ready-to-wear label, MISBHV exudes the youthful energy and DIY sensibilities of Maczek’s original designs, bringing together disparate elements of pop and sub cultures to form a uniquely and distinctively post-Soviet aesthetic. Aiming to straddle both the worlds of streetwear and luxury fashion, the Polish label’s experimental designs boast artisanal quality and premium European-sourced textiles. Deconstructed t-shirts and oversized hoodies featuring tongue-in-cheek graphics reference iconography of decades past, while the brand’s reconstructed denim and leather biker jackets elevate streetwear staples with avant-garde construction.
